Log the catch. Keep the spot.
klubfish is the logbook for you, your friends and your club. Note a catch in seconds, even without signal, and decide exactly who sees where you caught it.
- Runs in your browser
- Install it on your home screen
- German, Dutch, English
Note it before the fish swims off
Pick the species, pull the ruler to the length, tap Released or Kept. That is all a catch needs. Add a photo, weight, bait and notes if you want to; skip them if your hands are wet.
- Photo in one tap, or none at all
- A ruler that fits the species, from perch to catfish
- Weather and moon are added for you when you save
Last October’s pike, with weather and bait
Your logbook is searchable and sorted the way you think: by week, species or photo. See what you caught, when the pressure dropped, which lure worked, and your personal best for every species.
- Personal bests by length and by weight
- Your tacklebox: rods, reels and lures, linked to every catch
- A season overview with your catches, species and days with a catch
Your Thursday crowd, in one feed
Start a group with friends or join your club with a code. Everyone logs, and the feed fills up with outings. Cheer a good fish with one tap: Petri Heil. No chat to keep up with, no comments to moderate.
- A season ranking per species, built from what you log
- One award that means something: the club record
- A group for a trip can end on a date and stays as a memory
Everyone sees the catch. You decide who sees the water.
A good spot is worth keeping. In klubfish the location of every catch belongs to you alone.
-
Exact
Only if you choose it. The pin, for you and the people you pick.
-
Area
A rough circle, not a point. The default for your club and friends.
-
None
The catch is shown without a place.
The rules behind it
- A club or group can narrow what others see, never widen it.
- There is no public map, no public profile and no public catch page.
- Followers need your OK, and sharing with followers is off until you switch it on.
- Photos are stripped of their location data before they leave your phone.
- The server decides who sees what. The app only shows what it is given.
The catch report that writes itself
Members log at the water. You get the list, the ranking and the yearly report without typing a paper form.
We check every club application by hand. Meanwhile your members can start as a group and switch over.
- Join by code
- A six-character code or link. Choose whether members join straight away or after your approval.
- Rules at hand
- Minimum sizes, closed seasons and daily limits. Members see a warning when a catch is under size. It informs, it never blocks.
- Records and season
- A crown for the all-time club record, a ranking for the season.
- Waters
- Your club waters on a map, with catches this week.
- Dates, news, dues
- Work parties and competitions with sign-up, announcements to all members, and a list of who has paid.
- Export
- Catch list as CSV or PDF, and a yearly catch report per species and water.
Your members’ spots stay protected. The club cap only narrows.
Questions
Do I have to install anything?
No. klubfish runs in your browser. If you like, add it to your home screen and it opens like an app. On iPhone: Share, then “Add to Home Screen”. On Android: use the install button.
Does it work without signal?
Yes. You can log a catch, with photos, with no network. It shows as “Waiting for network” and is sent once you are back online. If sending fails, it tells you why and keeps the catch.
Who can see where I caught a fish?
Only the people you allow, and never more than you choose. For every audience you pick exact, area or none. A club can lower this further, but never raise it. The place is always fully visible to you.
Can strangers find my catches?
No. There are no public profiles, no public pages and no public map. Catches are only visible inside your own logbook, your groups and clubs, and to followers you approved.
How do I join my club?
Ask your board for the club code or link and enter it under “Join with code”. Some clubs let you in straight away, others approve each request first. Is your club not on klubfish yet? The board can register it.
What happens to my catches if I leave a club?
They stay yours. Your catches stay in the club’s history so records keep standing, marked “No longer in the club”. You can take any of them, or all of them, out of the club whenever you want.
Can my club export our catches for the association?
Boards can export the catch list as CSV or PDF and get a yearly catch report with kept fish per species and water. The layout is generic. If your association needs a specific format, tell us.
Can I get my data back or delete my account?
Yes, both. Download everything as a ZIP: catches, photos, profile and more. If you delete your account, it is locked for 14 days so you can change your mind, then it is removed.
